HR Business Partner
My love of all things food has stemmed from travelling and working all over the world during my teenage and early 20s. I have visited and worked in some amazing places from manual labouring in Kenya with the Green Howards Army cadet corps, to working as a fudge-maker in South Carolina and spending my gap year working and travelling around Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.
I joined Sodexo in 2007 and have worked in a number of segments including corporate services, justice services and healthcare. In 2016 I was excited to have the opportunity to join the Independents by Sodexo team.
Our HR model is set up in such a way as to enable me to be a true HR business partner to our Independent schools business, supported by the central PeopleCentre team and of other HR colleagues across the UK.
An average day as the Independents by Sodexo HR Business Partner could involve anything from attending a meeting with clients, helping employees to connect to Sodexo values and goals as brand ambassadors, analysing engagement survey scores and responding to bid documents, to coaching managers at all levels with regards to people management including change management and TUPE support. Supporting all Independents by sodexo sites across England and Scotland can mean I spend quite a bit of time on the road, but it’s invaluable to me to spend time visiting our sites and meeting our teams.
