My passion for food and cooking started many years ago as a child through watching cookery programme such as the ‘galloping gourmet’ and ’ Rhodes around Britain’. It wasn’t long after that I got a part time job in my first professional kitchen at the age of 15 in my local Italian restaurant.
Over the following years I worked my up through many independent restaurants to head chef then on to Executive Chef for a catering consultancy. During this time I also obtained my first class honours degree in 3D design which could have taken my career in a different direction but fortunately my passion for food was my real driving force.
I joined Sodexo 14 years ago as head chef at Cheadle Hulme School, where I am currently responsible for providing fresh high quality and interesting meals for over 1500 people aged 3 and upwards each day.
Working for Independents by Sodexo provides me with a great platform for using my skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm within in great school environment, and to support my district and division where needed.
