I started my career over 23 years ago as a chef in the Armed Forces then working restaurants in London before progressing on to be head chef in restaurants and boutique hotels in Derbyshire and his native North Yorkshire.
I joined Sodexo as head chef at Yarm School in February 2015, and more recently have moved into a development chef role for the Independent Division.
The person who sparked the interest and firmly planted the food bug in me was my Nan, being from the north east of England we would cook local dishes such as panhaggerty, pease pudding and stottie cakes, real hearty simple honest fayre which is reflected in the style of cooking I use to this day. Being a real foodie I enjoy getting hands on with the Sodexo teams, clients and customers. I get great satisfaction delivering innovative events that add spark and interest to the day to day catering offer and inspiring the teams I mentor and work with.
